Airstream Polishing

Polishing

A completed polish is probably the most rewarding part of the vintage Airstream restoration process.

After decades of oxidizing, the aluminum panels fade and lose that gorgeous shine. The polishing of an Airstream trailer reminds the world that this unique and iconic fixture is here to stay!

At VARR we must implement a five-step process, which will cleanse the aluminum and return to life that elusive mirror finish.

We love what we do and polishing brings a smile to all of our faces when our clients first set eyes on their newly polished airstream trailer.

Process Services Include

  • Oxidation Removal
  • Clear-Coat Removal
  • Paint Removal
  • Clear-Coat Removal
  • Mirror Finish
  • Sealant

Each Airstream, depending on the size, thickness of clear-coat applied, and the density of the oxidation itself will determine the overall cost of your polish. Price range can be at times, anywhere from $3,000 to $20,000 depending on the severity of the oxidation itself.

Time and Price Considerations Include

  • Size of Your Airstream Trailer
  • Thickness or Gauge of the Aluminum
  • Clear-Coat, and Thickness of Clear-Coat

  • In Loving Memory of Eugene James Magre

    June 25, 1947 – July 25, 2025

Eugene “Gene” James Magre, of Midway, Utah, peacefully completed his earthly journey on July 25, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 25, 1947, in White Plains, New York, Gene led a rich and remarkable life—one marked by boundless creativity, determination, love, and connection.

Gene shared an extraordinary bond with his wife, soulmate, and dearest friend, Jacqueline Magre. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love—steadfast, joyful, and deeply rooted. Together, they didn’t just build a life—they created a world full of dreams, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

A visionary and true entrepreneur, Gene approached life with energy and imagination. Never one to sit still, he constantly chased ideas, built ventures, and inspired those around him to dream bigger. His passion wasn’t just for progress—it was for purpose. He sought not only success, but meaning, and generously shared both with the people he held dear.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife, Jacqueline; his sister, Holly Maggio; his niece, Dana Maggio; and a wide circle of friends who became his chosen family. His legacy lives on in the stories, laughter, and lasting impact he left on every heart he touched.

In Gene’s spirit, we picture him with a glass of wine in hand—smiling, toasting, and sending love to all of us left behind. Until we meet again.

    One more day,
    One more time,
One more sunset, I’d be satisfied…
But then again, I know what it would do—
Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you.

Cheers, Gene. Here's to the next great adventure.
